The decoration materials and the art technique you use will determine the level of finish! Please Note: Mezuzah Holders do not come with backing! My kids and I enjoyed decorating these wooden cases. We ended up using high-quality fine point markers as I wasn't sure we'd be able to paint well on the small surface. Also, these are light enough that we didn't have to nail them into the doorpost - we just used double-sided sticky pieces from Command hooks. Note that you still need to buy a scroll for these.
